To appoint unto them that mourn in Zion, to give unto them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness: that they might be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that he might be glorified. In Isaiah 61:3, God talks about exchanging our mess, pain, hurt, and grief for something much more valuable. We give Him ashes He gives us beauty; we give Him our grief He gives us joy. God desires to give us much more for what we have suffered from or lost. He is a compassionate and loving God. Don’t ever think you are alone or forgotten. He sees your tears, the overwhelming hurt and pain, the anxiety that cripples you. He wants to exchange your mess for his goodness. Put your trust in God’s plan for your present and future. Seek His face (because you want Him and not just what he can give you) and cry out to Him and allow Him to make the perfect exchange.
